8. Ameesha Patel Ameesha Patel is an Indian actor, producer, model, and Humanitarian who has appeared in Bollywood, Tamil, and Telugu movies. She was born on June 9, 1975, and is the sister of actor Ashmit Patel. Patel made her Bollywood debut in 2000 with Rakesh Roshan’s blockbuster movie ‘Kaho Na…Pyaar Hai,’ opposite actor Hrithik Roshan. She gained popularity with hit movies like ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ (2001), ‘Humraaz’ (2002), ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’ (2007), ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ (2007) and ‘Race 2’ (2013). Between 2000 and 2018 she has worked in more than 20 movies. In April 2011, Patel launched her own production company Ameesha Patel Productions. In 2007, she joined United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to curb human trafficking in India. She won the Filmfare Award for the movie ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.’
