Chris Hemsworth is an Australian actor who was born on August 11, 1983, in Melbourne. He is popularly known for playing the role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hemsworth is considered one of the highest-paid actors in the world. He began his career in showbiz by appearing in various television series. In 2002, he appeared in the fantasy television series ‘Guinevere Jones.’ He had also appeared in the soap opera series ‘Neighbours,’ and in one episode of ‘Martial Law.’ In 2006, Hemsworth participated in the fifth season of ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ He made his first-ever Hollywood appearance in the science fiction film ‘Star Trek’ but he gained recognition with the 2011 film ‘Thor.’ Some of his popular action films include ‘Blackhat,’ ‘Red Dawn,’ ‘Men in Black: International,’ ‘Extraction,’ ‘A Perfect Getaway,’ and ‘Ghostbusters,’ among several others.
