Roston Chase: News

Roston Chase is a Barbadian cricket player who plays for Barbados and West Indies. The West Indies Players’ Association declared him as the Cricketer of the Year and Test Cricketer of the Year in July 2017. The right-handed batsman was born on March 22, 1992, in Barbados. Chase has played 41 Test matches and 30 ODIs in his cricket career. He has an average of 38.03 in 17 Test matches where Chase has scored 1065 runs. At the age of 18, he made his senior debut for Barbados from Christ Church Parish during the 2010-11 Regional Four Day Competition. In July 2016, he made his Test debut for the West Indies against India. Chase scored his first five-wicket haul and scored a century in his second Test match. In June 2017, he made his ODI debut for the West Indies against Afghanistan. He was named as one of the top reserve players in the West Indies’ squad by Cricket West Indies for the Cricket World Cup 2019. In September 2021, Chase was named in the West Indies squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
